Using something called "parallax barrier screen technology", the LG Optimus 3D holds the honor of being the first 3D capable phone. This glasses-free 3D experience is accomplished through the use of two 5MP cameras located on the back of the phone which record stereoscopic 3D video in HD.
To further the 3D focus of the phone, LG is partnering with the YouTube 3D channel, which provides a dedicated app on the phone, allowing users to upload/share 3D content.
The Optimus 3D boasts a huge 4.3-inch display generating 480 x 800 pixels, placing it among the top displays in both size and resolution. Add a 5MP camera with LED flash and auto-focus, HD video record (in both 720p and 1080p formats!), and a secondary camera for video calling, and it's clear that this phone wants to show off.
You also get an MP3 player, video playback in a wide assortment of formats, FM radio, full internet browser and built-in support for Facebook, MySpace and Twitter.
Rounding out this menu of fun, high-end features is GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, HDMI, 3.5mm audio jack and expandable memory up to 32GB.
The LG Optimus 3D is a powerful phone that breaks new ground, and is sure to cause a stir among users.

- Adama D. Brown, BrighthandThe LG Thrill 4G's capabilities may be a fun gimmick, but in the end that's primarily what they are. The 3D camera is quirky but eventually of limited use, and the 3D menus have even less of a shelf life. In the end, the 3D effects are good for a little showing off, and maybe occasional utility in t...
- What Mobile, What MobileWhen used in the right conditions, LG Optimus 3D is an excellent experience – and you get all the benefits of a powerful Android phone too. But, the battery life is a problem and there’s a heavy price to pay to go 3D too.
