The Apple iPhone has been rumored for over 4 years now but the waiting is over. Announced January 9, 2007 at the Mac World Expo, the iPhone is a cell phone, mobile web browser and iPod music player in one.
The iPhone offers a unique touch screen design and measures less than an inch thick. Other features of note include a 3.5-inch wide touchscreen display, a 2 megapixel camera, a 8GB or 16GB harddrive, Bluetooth 2.0, iTunes music player, WiFi, Quandband GSM + EDGE high-speed data, Mac OSX operating system and push email support.
The iPhone went on sale with AT&T on Friday June 29, 2007 at 6 pm. No Canadian release date has yet been set.
Update: This original iPhone has been discontinued. A new, Apple iPhone 3G takes its place.
